@samueloakford I am in favor or repealing section 230, passing a law that clarifies that for profit micro blogging internet companies are publishers, and requiring that for profit publishers must exercise good faith effort in not promoting incendiary lies and calls for violence, otherwise they incur civil liability.

@samueloakford Basically if a company makes money being a speech platform they have to use some on fact checking and editorial discretion. Or face liability for carelessness. "Oh no, that might put some reckless people out of business"... yeah, it might. "That might be hard to litigate. Then you would be regulating free speech". Courts make hard decisions about people lying for money everyday, they can handle it.
