@zleap @nicholasr @tchambers Agreed. My point is that another big name like Tumblr in addition to Mastodon is a huge proof of concept. People pay attention to Automattic. And Matt is just generally an interesting, think-different kind of CEO. He was just a kid with a blog and high ideals when I first became aware of him in 2003. I was a Textpattern user, but he wanted something specifically GPL, so WP was born. What he’s built from then is nothing short of epic.
