@simonbs 2 feature requests for your now finished side side project... :)
- can you put the text cursor at the beginning of the re toot?
- can you make this work with tweets so we can easily move discussions from bird site without driving traffic there?
@john Unfortunately, I can't move the cursor. As soon as you share the image, control is handed off to the receiving app 😔
While I understand the desire to support Twitter, and I think it's an interesting use case you're highlighting, I likely won't support this. For two reasons: Many people on Mastodon really don't like Twitter. I'm afraid how this would affect my product. And second, from what I've heard, Twitter's API is much more cumbersome to work with. I'll keep it in mind though 😊
