Behold, the iconic #1989 #Volvo #240DL station wagon. Workhorse of soccer moms and first time drivers through the #1990s and #2000s. This particular beauty had rear-facing child "seats" in the hatch back that flip up out of the floor. Which I must admit I have used as both a child and "adult".
