I am using this morning's 2 hour school delay to start The #Reducetarian Solution because one of my goals this year is to eat less meat. Over the years I’ve had brief periods of going #vegetarian and a small moment trying to be #vegan but I can't quite turn the corner. This collection of essays covers three areas that benefit when we reduce our meat consumption: mind, body and planet and seems so far to generally take Michael Pollan's advice to “eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”
@PortCityAnna I am unequivocally against veganism because I believe it is extremist, expensive thus elitist, and based on false assumptions about its benefit to the environment. That said, I also believe that many people eat too much meat. IMO modified vegetarianism and eating less but better quality meat is a sane and healthy way to go. I strongly agree with Michael Pollan. Do notice he said, mostly plants not only plants.
