I've listened to some #AudioBooks and #AudioPlays last year. The main criteria was availability rather than specfic selection, so the outcome was pretty much what you'd expect: A lot of okay-ish listens. Some a bit better, some a bit worse. Nothing really exceptional.

Well, nothing but one. :) What stood out looking back was the (German) dramatic reading of #Dracula. The version is from Deutsche Grammophon from 2003, sadly it doesn't seem to be easily available anymore. https://www.perlentaucher.de/buch/bram-stoker/dracula.html

In fact, when I did the last-year review with my wife, we decided to look if there was a similar version in English, so we can hear the original again. It seems #Audible has produced a proper unabridged‪ version in 2021: https://books.apple.com/us/audiobook/dracula-unabridged/id1590575891

The audio sample seems nice, so that's definitely going into the backlog for this year. :)

I didn't like many of the #Dracula movies I've seen but the book is great and basically made for a dramatic reading. #AudioBooks #AudioPlays #amReading
