JdeBP@ancientsounds Political parties in #USPolitics at the federal level are rather looser than they are in the U.K., but that's a rough approximation to what is going on.
It bodes ill for what's going to happen for the next two years, as a deadlock _within_ the House majority party will block lots of stuff. Either there is going to be some bipartisanship, or the party-within-a-party will hold everything to ransom.
