🌊Stef✡️🌵🗽Hubs & I don't do sports, but we overheard what happened to #damarhamlin from a man at a table next to us at dinner. Came home and turned on some sports channel to hear more. What an absolute tragedy. Hubs said that these #NFL players are like paid gladiators. I can't understand how a civilized society encourages a "sport" that has contributed to so many serious injuries. I don't pray, but I'll send all of my good energy to Damar Hamlin. A 24 year old kid who has his whole life in front of him.
@SteffieEffie boxing, ufc, nfl, and more all very violent. As long as people go to stadiums nothing will ever change.
@thefern I know. UFC is particularly disgusting. How? Why do we encourage and pay children to do this? Damar is 24 years old. My own son is 25. I don't know that a child of that age has the cognitive ability to make such decisions, and even if they did, we are a sick society for encouraging such brutality. 😬
