@mynameisnate hi. Welcome. What’s a #leftlibertarian? Does it fit on the left/right spectrum? Not that it has to. Just curious as it’s the first time I come across that sensibility. I’m a socialist CEO, just in case you wonder were I come from with my question.

@meb hi Meb, sorry for the late response. I previously considered myself just a "libertarian", i.e. right-libertarian; but I recently had a bit of an epiphany and have shifted leftwards. I'm thinking mostly in terms of the two-axis "Political Compass". Here's my result from this morning:
So basically I still think the government is crap, but there are different things I wish it'd do, rather than just not existing.

@mynameisnate thanks for sharing. I like your thread and how you realised that trickle down economy doesn’t work.
I watched this morning a conversation with Yanis Varoufakis during the Global Investment Forum recorded here in Geneva this summer. https://youtu.be/4ncspV1z4KM. I highly recommend it. In it he defines himself (jokingly I think) as a libertarian Marxist. He’s a math and economy professor and prior Greece finance minister. Anyway… thought you might find it interesting
