Booking this year's summer vacation. 16 day road trip in the Pacific Northwest, including the Canadian Rockies. Olympic, Mount Rainier, Glacier, Banff, Yoho, Burgess Shale and the North Cascades are all on our list. There will be much #hiking and #photography. Anyone on #mastodon have a favorite hike in these #nationalparks?

@chuck
There will be much #driving if you're intending to hit all of those locations in 16 days! 2 spectacular hikes i took in those areas were up to #PlainOfSixGlaciersTeahouse at #LakeLouise and back by way of #LittleBeehive. The second was in #JewelBasinMontana, where the alpine wildflowers were magnificent.
@EllenInEdmonton Oh yeah. 2 days in Olympic, 1 day in Mount Ranier, 3 in Glacier, a day in each of Banff, Yoho and Burgess Shale, and a day in North Cascades. Also have a day in Vancouver + 3 main driving days and two flying days. Basecamping around Seattle, Columbia Falls and Canmore, AB. Road trips aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but we love ‘em. Really looking forward to the drive up AB93 from Glacier through Radium Hot Springs. 😍
@chuck The #93 is a gorgeous highway on all of it that I've taken. A lot of interesting variations. It's the Cowboy Trail from the #3 north. You'll soon see why. I'm planning a 4-week #roadtrip into Montana and neighbouring states this spring but my ideal driving day is about 2-5 hours.
@EllenInEdmonton Awesome! We’ll have a couple of marathon driving days, but we’ll survive. Your trip sounds epic!!
