I thought last night’s #Phish second set simply slayed, and was the best of the 11 I saw this year. That said, it was hyper aggressive, LOUD, and super reliant on Trey’s evil shoegaze effects where it sounds like he’s tearing a hole in the space-time continuum for minutes at a time. That 4.0 sound simply isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But if like me you count My Bloody Valentine, Ride and Slowdive among your favorite bands, manna from Heaven.
