‘The reason it took three hours and 19 minutes to get approval for the Guard to help protect the Capitol, he said, was that “somebody or somebodies were willfully, deliberately delaying making the decision.” He added, “I think it would have been a vastly different response if those were African Americans trying to breach the Capitol.”’ - Maj Gen Walker

Takeaways From Jan. 6 Transcripts on Surveillance and National Guard Response

The latest batch of transcripts shed light on how threats before Jan. 6 went unheeded and what led to an hourslong delay of the National Guard deployment to the Capitol.

@jeffsonstein Right. #Trump said he knew they weren’t there to hurt him. #MarkMilley said, “everyone knew“ the #January6 was going to be violent. Still, #ChristopherWray, #JamesMurray and #ChristopherMiller did nothing before #Jan6, and then nothing for three hours and 19 minutes while Trump nuts tried to overthrow the government.
And the #january6committee is giving these institution heads up pass for their alleged “failure“ to defend the #Constitution against domestic enemies

@tolortslubor and the point I was making in that post still stands:

it would have been a vastly different response if those were African Americans trying to breach the Capitol.

have you ever read about the Mulford Act?

@jeffsonstein I wasn't contradicting your statement. The same people who cracked down hard on the #BLM protests used the backlash against their overreach to claim that was the reason they were so hands off with the crowd of #January6 racist traitorous rightwing #Trump nut insurrectionists who tried to overthrow the government on #J6. It's not acceptable, or credible.

PS #WilliamWalker might've been picked as fall guy cuz he's Black https://www.politico.com/news/2021/12/06/jan-6-generals-lied-ex-dc-guard-official-523777

'Absolute liars': Ex-D.C. Guard official says generals lied to Congress about Jan. 6

In a 36-page memo to the Capitol riot committee, Col. Earl Matthews also slams the Pentagon's inspector general for what he calls an error-ridden report.

@tolortslubor I'm trying to stay focused here. I'm trying to make one point at a time in a post and then stay on-topic in discussion. I do not want to mix stuff about anything else up with the point I was trying to make. feel free to post your own ideas and points... in your own timeline.
