I’m sorry but I’m just watching the immigration statistics for #Poland and I see thousands of people from all countries in the world, including countries such as Afghanistan or Syria, who were granted normal visas, including work permits, over the last year. And that’s Poland alone, now multiply that by 27 for all Member States and the whole narrative of “fortress Europe” falls apart. There absolutely is a legal way to start living in EU and thousands of people are using it.

Also, blaming people who drowned 20 km from the coast of Tunisia on EU is just absurd - you can just as well blame people who drowned in Pacific on EU and it will be just as justified.

@autonomysolidarity Frontex isn't the issue here. The issue is that people have to flee their home/ can't migrate legally if they flee for economic reasons. Frontex is just remarkably bad at their job.
Abolishing it won't change much (probably). It will just cause the EU member countries to close their inner EU borders up even more, which imo is worse than the EU trying to have a unified outer border/ Frontex existing.

Schon seit 2019 gibt einen Vorschlag aus Österreich, bei Bedarf einfach ein paar Gesetze bis hin zur Europäischen Menschenrechtskonvention zu ändern.

Laut dem damaligen Innenminister Kickl sind das "irgendwelche seltsamen rechtlichen Konstruktionen, teilweise viele, viele Jahre alt aus ganz anderen Situationen heraus entstanden" und müssten überarbeitet werden.

Damit würden dann Rassismus...

Kickl (mittlerweile Chef der rechten FPÖ), dessen Ex-Kanzler, der rechtskonservative Messias & Lobbyist Sebastian Kurz oder auch die aktuelle TürkisGrüne Regierung, die das Thema am Laufen hält, wären sicher bereit der EU da weiter zu helfen.

Durch den Überwachungskapitalismus, der sämtliche Lebensbereiche kontrollieren kann, werden kritische Stimmen innerhalb Europas sofort entdeckt und wegen "Delegitimierung des Staates" in Schauprozessen zum Tode verurteilt.

Auch Flucht aus der Festung Europa ist zwecklos. Die Grenzen werden durch einen besonders brutalen Teil...

@darkandandstormy @autonomysolidarity Ja, das ist ein wichtiger Punkt: Aber wieso von D dominiert? Im Grunde nutzt v.d.L. doch gerade das Machtvakuum, weil D im Ministerrat nicht europäisch handelt, I faschistisch regiert und F politisch gelähmt ist und gleichzeitig EU-Parlament gelähmt, weil die EVP im EU-Parl. zur Hälfte nach Rechts schielt um so eine Art administrative Diktatur einzurichten.

@berhaller @autonomysolidarity Mit vdL ist ist eben jetzt seit Jahren eine Deutsche an der Macht. Und den Machtkampf mit ihrem französischen Kommissar Breton hat sie auch gewonnen.

Ich sehe auch die von Kanzler Scholz ausgerufene Zeitenwende (inklusive einem stärkeren DE) nur als die Umsetzung der Politik von vdL in ihrem deutschen Heimatland an.

Auch Österreich (und auch die Schweiz) sind führende Stimmen bei der Militarisierung der EU. In Österreich läuft die Propaganda für die...

Zudem wird Österreich seit Jahren von der Türkisen Bewegung regiert, deren Gründer Sebastian Kurz, genau wie (der deutschstämmige) Donald Trump, enge Verbindungen zum einflussreichen deutschen Antidemokraten Peter Thiel hat.

Für mich gibt es daher einen klaren, sehr deutschen Einfluss auf die aktuelle Weltpolitik.

Dazu gibt es Dinge wie das SkyShield Projekt, das einen besonderen Schutz der deutschsprachigen...

@berhaller @autonomysolidarity ...Länder vorsieht oder die Annäherung der neutralen Länder Europas an die NATO. Auch hier spielen Österreich und die Schweiz eine große Rolle.

@berhaller @autonomysolidarity Und da sich meine ersten paar Posts ja auf eine mögliche Zukunft beziehen, haben wir noch ein paar Jahre Zeit bis vielleicht Deutschland (bzw. die deutschsprachigen Länder Mitteleuropas) tatsächlich wieder DIE dominante Rolle spielen.

Ich sehe aber eben so einiges in unserer heutigen Zeit, das in diese Richtung deutet.

Ist es nicht eher so, dass sich wegen der zunehmenden Ferne der Politik von den Menschen, der massiven Konzentration von Ressourcen bei wenigen Menschen und der zunehmenden Möglichkeiten zur Manipulation ÜBERALL neue Allmachtsfantasien ausbreiten?

Und nochmals: was bleibt davon in der globalisierten Welt wenn die Europäische Idee stirbt?
