My 2022 reading discovery was #Craig_Alanson's #Expeditionary_Force series.

I cannot overstate how much I love these books. They are clever, funny, and have some pretty good science in them.

I listened, rather than read hard copies, and I have to say #RCBray is the runaway best narrator I have ever listened to. And if that's not enough reason, there's an incredibly ancient AI shaped like a beer can, called Skippy. He's an arsehole.

@Richard I don;t think I could wtch a film of this! I'd be contantly comparing the actors to #RCBray, and undoubtedly finding them wanting! 😂

@mayhawke My wife always tells me that the films of the book are never as good as the book. Strange really, because she reads and I watch films 😀

@Richard I'd largely agree with her, though there are exceptions. #Bladerunner was brilliant. The book it was based on (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep), I found utterly unreadable and tedious.
