Grealish has been the player of the game tonight #LEEMCI #mastodonfc
@jbwharris Grealish hasn't been the player of *any* game since he left Villa. Except the hair game. He’s quite popular in that contest.
@FemmeFutbolATL Grealish is great for exactly the reason you hate on him. He gets under people's skin and throws teams off that they lose focus on the game. The fact he had like 5 chances to score(which he muffed) and 2 clear assists on plays he created. He was just dangerous all day.
@jbwharris Grealish was a waste of 100M. Foden is immeasurably better than him.
@FemmeFutbolATL You're not wrong there. The problem is he was never a 100M player, but there's always a premium on English players. He was a 60M that they paid the premium to pry out of Villa because he had time left on his contract. I think a guy like Rice will cost similar.
@jbwharris Grealish is a depth player, at best. He's not up to snuff as a starter. Not for Man City, anyway. Maybe for a low to mid-table team.
@FemmeFutbolATL I don't believe that. He'd walk into most starting lineups. The problem is he's played as a winger, when he'd probably be better served playing more centrally. But he's not better than KDB, Gundo or Bernardo at the roles they occupy. City doesn't ask those guys to be the target man like Grealish is often asked to be.
@jbwharris We can respectfully agree to disagree on the skill level of the #HairModel. He’s likely not long for Man City anyway. I'm sure he’ll perform better as part of another, less talent-packed squad.
@FemmeFutbolATL More than likely true. I saw rumours(which are always worth a grain of salt) of him being swapped to Italy, but I just don't see it. Every club in Italy is broke, but I think he'd rip up that league like Pogba did his first go around there.
