George Santos Confessed to Lying, But There’s a Lot More Out There. And It’s Really Weird.

George Santos, the embattled representative-elect for New York’s 3rd Congressional District, has fessed up. Well, somewhat. After a New York Times exposé broke a week ago calling much of Santos’s background into question, including his claims of where he went to college, where he’s worked, and even whether he had a criminal background and was actually a fugitive from Brazil—allegations which Santos’s attorney claimed at the time were a “shotgun blast of attacks” aimed at “smearing his good name”—the 34-year old fabulist tried to close the story with a heartfelt

@jaykuo No matter how many lies you'll find Santos told, no matter how big they turn out to be, his story will never. NEVER. Come CLOSE to a lifelong criminal, sexual assaulter, Kremlin asset conning the entire country to get himself to be POTUS. And then foment an insurrection, steal top secret documents, STILL not get arrested, AND be allowed to run for POTUS, AGAIN.

Yeah, Santos should be kicked out (he won't).

But that's not even a story, compared to the American catastrophe called Trump.

@jaykuo his history of lies is truly incredible. I'm sure that he as told 5 more lies than your average Republican and 10 more than your average Democrat.

It isn't shocking at all that someone like this could get elected. We have a political system that has legalized, protected bribery and a national press that does not challenge powerful people. We have system that encourages the most dishonest and most amoral people to run for the most powerful positions.

It is gross, but not surprising.

@jaykuo I feel that his voters should be asking these questions and more, if enough do not like the answers is there anything they can do about it? Put into question the validity of his candidacy? After all, the other side seem to want to tie up elections in the courts, why not they thier tactics… but with better reasons.

@jaykuo I know the promise of hearing more about this in the coming weeks and months is supposed to be exciting as we completely expose this fraud, but all I feel is exhaustion:

- We will all learn every weird, psycho thing he’s done or said
- He and his supporters will smirk & point at the election results
