@ChasteSubMuc some friends of mine have the current model SK, it feels a little different than the original SK even with the exact same receiver. I dont recall precisely how it felt different but I remember thinking "hey thats not quite the same as mine". Guess I'll just have to try it again and take better notes this time 😈.
Mine goes through about 1L every 10-15 mins once you get the lube feed dialed in but the milker can easily hold 11L of liquid, probably more. Its huge.
@PupShadowNH Wow, I would not have expected that the feel different.
That's the down side of my milker. The can has a capacity of ~0.5l. So you can't really have much lube going through. But I would assume most of the lube is sucked out anyways just before reaching the lower parts. But that was not a real issue so far for me. Certainly makes a difference though.
Now I'm even more curious to try the original 😈
@ChasteSubMuc I do like how compact yours is, mine is pretty big to store and transport. The new SK didnt really feel any better or worse than the original SK, just different enough to be noticable from what I recall. On the old SK the pulsator only connects to the "dry" side of the SPT, then the wet side connects directly to the milker tank.
Red=pulsator (different size hose fittings than the rest)
Clear=suction (wet side of SPT)
Blue=vacuum inlet
@ChasteSubMuc I just checked some photos and I was wrong about how the new style SK hooks up- the newer SK has two lines coming out of the pulsator going into some sort of breakout box, plus one coming right off the tank going into the box as well for the suction side. Same as yours and same as original just looks a bit different.
Clear= vac pump
Black= suction
Red= pulsation
(All hose fittings same size)
