The #resilience of #moss (in intact #ecosystems) never ceases to amaze me. After the summer heat waves and drought, these old wall stones were bare and brown. Nothing seemed to live on them anymore. After some #rain, they show the most beautiful green in the garden. The red #Vosges #sandstone (a #bunter sandstone) is porous and soaks up water.
