Burning this Yellow Fang album to gold disc, because I know that I'll never ever be able to buy an official version.

It really is the greatest album of the '10s -- and I'll probably never be able to have it.

@atomicpoet Never say never - looks like the band sold a run of limited edition cassettes of this back in 2019. Maybe they'll do something like that again someday. And exclusive physical media is outdated AF. As long as you bought the tracks from their Bandcamp, I think your CD is just as valid as one that they burned in 2014. I'm going to check them out!
@karstenbondy Never tell me that exclusive physical media is outdated 😆

@atomicpoet You should get an MP3-to-cassette recorder and make a tape, too. You can pretend you have one of their exclusive 650 cassettes.

I like Yellow Fang! Their stuff sounds to me like a cross between The Breeders and Belly, two bands from the 90s Boston scene that I love, and Fazerdaze, a really cool New Zealand shoegaze rocker. You might like her first album Morningside, which I have been obsessed with for 5 years:

And while I was looking for that link, I found out that she has a new EP. Cool! She hadn't recorded anything since Morningside in 2017, and I was worried that she had given up. So you have given me two cool things to listen to tonight. Thanks! I owe you!

@karstenbondy I have a cassette recorder. Multiple, in fact.

I don't know. Certain albums strike me as "CD" albums and others strike me as "cassette" albums.

This one at least deserved the gold disc treatment.
