It's all these things:-
- Workforce getting older, people taking early retirement
- EU workers going back to EU
- Non-EU workers leaving
- Visas harder to get
- Long term sickness from Covid
- Lockdowns and furlough reminded people the job was unpleasant. So they just didn't go back.
- There are jobs nobody wants
- Low pay

We're going to have to manage a contraction in the economy and a smaller workforce.

Lack of public transport largely labour shortages means volunteers and users can’t access many services that keep them healthy. Leading to more poorer elderly people unable to do things getting unfit & Ill quicker. Leading to Primary/ secondary care in NHS overwhelmed.Inflation collapses access to nutritious food/ any food . We are in deep trouble.Housing stock also decrepit.

@andyhardy40 the problem is low pay. A problem that was hidden thanks to cheap imported labour. But now employers, who often have built their entire business model on cheap labour (preferring to give the profits to shareholder) are in trouble.

So far, this is the only upside to #brexshit I can see. Kinda.
