Just to introduce myself to the community, I am sharing a figure of Sarafu transactions network in 2020.
Sarafu is a Community Inclusion Currency project in Kenya. It brings the complementary currency as a relief for the most impoverished.
There are tens of thousands people in the network represented by dots. The glow created by a multitude of transactions shows the areas of more intense economic activity.

Dots are individual accounts. Colour is a location of an individual and the size is the node degree (number of transactions)
I have used Gephi https://gephi.org/ to produce the visual. The layout is force directed.
The network is dominated by a single giant component. To make the structure visible, I have used edge width rescaling and transparency. Otherwise, there would be just a big colourful blob.
