“If I am mad, it is mercy! May the gods pity the man who in his callousness can remain sane to the hideous end!” - H.P. Lovecraft, The Temple. Personally, I don’t feel games of Eldritch Horror drag on that long. #boardgames #lovecraft
@jasonmoore I find our EH games run a solid 6 hours, but *generally* don't drag. We're often playing with 6 or 7 though and rarely fewer (just the nature of a game that doesn't get tabled monthly and lots of people enjoy it). How long are your's going?

@gpage @jasonmoore look at this guy with his 5 or 6 friends.

I’ve played four player #EldrichHorror that went a little long (4 hours), but it goes faster when you #yolo yourself into death and insanity. Usually we’re two player (Covid, ya know), takes maybe 3 hours, winning maybe 35% of the time.

@gpage I usually go two to two-and-a-half hours, playing two characters. For Arkham Horror it’s considerably longer, but I run three characters then.
@jasonmoore holy moly! I think the fastest I've ever played was 3.5hrs at 4p. We do lean into it (e.g. reading cards to each other, having group discussions on plans, etc) so there are things we could speed along but don't. That's still a large discrepancy tho...
@gpage I do think playing multiple characters solitaire speaks to a part of that, to be honest. Co-ops with others always run longer for me.
