@auschwitzmuseum @bookstodon I read this and listened to stories my parents told. I was born in Holland, my father was a pilot for the allies, my mother, teenager at the time tried to stay hidden, as most beauties during Nazi occupation. Potatoes everyday..my dad would only eat fried potatoes after the war....food was so scarce many ate tulip bulbs...
