2014 - Initial #Ilitch District Detroit proposal -a mixed use area in midtown to accompany the new Little Caesars arena

Ilitch holdings got millions in land, public money, and tax breaks, and work can only be done by Ilitch's Olympia Development

2017- Arena opened

2022 - Ilitch letting historic structures rot to raze for more than *150* rarely used surface parking lots

Now Olympia has yet another plan for DD. So over it. Give #Detroit back its money. :(

Curbed did a fantastic multimedia (text/images/maps) piece on the Ilitch-Little Caesars Arena-District Detroit situation in 2019

Then the pandemic hit and we forgot about it briefly. Guys we gotta get back into the public advocacy groove. The *only change I've seen in District #Detroit area since 2019 is now parking structures are taking the place of parking lots. It's a mess.

Mapping the District Detroit

Taking a look at all the development—or lack thereof—at the Ilitch-owned properties near Little Caesars Arena.
