All this excitement and publicity about #ADSB and bots that publish locations to Mastodon is great.

There is a pretty good set of bots called “Advisory Circular” which detects when planes are circling an area. Typically these are surveillance flights, keeping urban people oppressed with loud rotor noises at night, but there are other fun things that pop up sometimes.

I have two feeders, got a friend to host one, and another friend hosted for a while until they finished flight school and moved out of their dorm.
