@thatguyoverthere @stman yeah, trust is a problem, as we know the ability and willingness of even "well trusted" providers like NAVSTAR GPS to purposefully tamper with timing accuracy in order to prevent "unauthorized use"...
In their case resulting in sometimes 200-2000m inaccuracy, rendering navigation useless in urban areas.
I mean there are solutions to provide #NTP and even #PTP accurate timing locally, but unless one operates a datacenter, it doesn't make sense to buy or build a #TimeCard...
