Controversy has swirled around Sebastian Gorka, one of President Trump's top counterterrorism advisers, ever since he attended the president's Jan. 20 inaugural ball wearing the honorary medal of Hungarian nationalist organization Vitezi Rend. NBC News traveled to Hungary to dig deeper into Gorka's ties with the group, speaking with members of the organization as well as with locals who knew him when he lived there.
@murshedz "appears to be looking to weaponize MAGA judges in federal courts against people of color"
That was always the primary goal -- and not just for Miller. Using the "pro-life" fundies to get there was only a political tactic.
@murshedz
My hypothesis about why #Kavanaugh was nominated:
The twice-impeached racist misogynist fascist idiot mobster saw the public respect for the Supreme Court was much higher than respect for him.
He was jealous, but couldn't do anything about his poll numbers.
He had minions search for a judge with a terrible ethics record who would be satisfactory to Republican Senators.
They found a guy with 80 open ethics investigations who was also a young right wing extremist.

@murshedz
When Kavanaugh reached confirmation hearings, the ethics investigations soon immediately forgotten because of the sexual assault accusations and history of alcohol abuse.
Any other president would have immediately withdrawn the nomination. But for the narcissistic game show host, the accusations were the jackpot: someone who could drag down the reputation of the Supreme Court even lower the Clarence Thomas had.
Of course he fought with all he had.

@murshedz Have you heard Shilpa Ray's song for Kavanaugh, "Straight Man's Dream"? Seems apposite:
Male bonding
Homo Erectus
Boy talk with your dick in the stars
What a dream, man what a dream
A ferret's face and you can still get lucky
(She's got one for Susan Collins, too, written after Collins' response to Kavanaugh's hearings: "Bootlickers of the Patriarchy". Also worth a listen. https://youtu.be/blte3EbAFzA ).
@murshedz Look. He likes beer, okay? The white nationalist nazis were there too but, he probably just went because of the free beer.
*Said ironically but cringing because there's a chance I'm actually correct. And it doesn't really make it better if I am. :-(
@murshedz This is absolutely appalling and, of course, Roberts will not issue any public statement reminding justices of the importance of impartiality. The only time I recall him speaking out was to denounce Schumer for a political statement.
Conservative justices can meet with Seb Gorka, Matt Gaetz, Stephen Miller, the Schlapps, and Erik Prince and Roberts says nothing.
