This is the moment Mars peeked out from behind our moon after being hidden for an hour. This shot was captured using my largest telescope and a special high-speed camera. Seeing another planet rising on the horizon of our moon was such a surreal experience.
@SciBry
Is the haze from the moon's small atmosphere? I would guess its far more likely to be from our atmosphere or the camera equipment though.
@SciBry Kudos for an excellent shot.
@SciBry
That really is surreal. Excellent photo; nicely done!
@SciBry This is brilliant. Congratulations on that once in a lifetime photograph !
@SciBry that is amazing, is the apparent brightness really that similar or did you have to do some different exposure per body?
@SciBry Wow, this is incredible! I didn't even know someone could get an image of the moon with that resolution. 🀯

@SciBry

My attention was immediately drawn to the definition of the Moon's surface in that shot; that's what had me transfixed.

@SciBry A BRILLIANT image....so tantalizingly close...except for the agonizingly slow speed of our space vehicles.

@SciBry

I'm impressed by the clarity of the picture. Wow!! But also somewhat surprised at the size of Mars in the image. given it is 80M kilometres from earth, I would have expected it to be much smaller. Is that a false assumption?

@saeedwkhan @SciBry I was curious about that as well. Here is an article about another of his pictures; if you compare the blowup of Mars there with the size and curvature of the Moon here, it looks pretty similar:

@SciBry fantastic picture, thanks for sharing πŸ˜±πŸ™
@SciBry The amount of detail is spectacular- were you in outer space when you took this?
@SciBry colours are just great in this!! Mars looks like it’s made of coloured icing sugar.
@SciBry @level98 The geometry here is exquisite.
@SciBry looks close enough to touch! What an incredible image!
@SciBry I am surprised that Mars is so big given its apparent size from earth and the fact that the Moon is incredibly close to the Earth as compared to Mars.
@SciBry
What might that telescope be?
@SciBry amazing shot! Thanks for sharing. Can you also share a description of what did you use to take the picture?
@SciBry it’s *beautiful*! ❀️
@SciBry squeeze the pimple, SQUEEZE IT!
@SciBry
Thus is an extraordinary photo. Even when you zoom in it looses none of it's quality.
