Back in October, I happened to spot three young cats by my neighbour’s house. Today, I went out to trap them for #TNR and possible rehoming if they’re young enough to go for it. #CatRescue
After a morning hunting around the neighbourhood, I spotted two of them and the large cream kitty. For logistics reasons, I am aiming to trap just the black and white young cats today. #TNR

Trapped one kit, and returned for the second one. Hid behind a parked cement mixed and peered through the gap.

No humans near that delicious food, kitty! And the fact it looks just like the trap and took away your sibling 20 minutes ago is utter coincidence… 😅

Successfully trapped two of the kits (they’re about 5 ~ 6 months). They managed to trash my bathroom and spread the small plate of food over all surfaces. These are the faces of two small cats with zero remorse.

I found the third kit at the house that regularly feeds them. Should have been 3/3.

BUT THEN…

I called the house for permission to come through the gate. The man who lives there came out to try and help, and scared the kitten away from the trap. We waited for hours but no luck

May I just say…

At the vets! As these kittens look similar to the #caspers, I’m calling them the 3 #casperccinos ☕️☕️☕️!

Tons of thanks to @[email protected] for driving all the way to my area, waiting on a December evening to try & get #casperccino #3, and driving us plus 2 #casperccinos to the vet ❤️

Got up early to try for the last kitten but… no luck. Just a dance around the neighbourhood 🤦🏼‍♀️

A shelter that can socialise and re-home has offered to take all three, but it’s far and I’m not sure I can make the trip twice. So this kit needs to reunite with his siblings today.

Neutered, vaccinated and looking a little freaked as they’re moved from the vet to a foster home, but the #casperccinos are doing well! As I had to provide names for the paperwork… meet Dasher and Dancer: Christmas kits. #TNR
