I've muted the T word and ... while we're here, whilst not exactly the same but is similar in terms of triggers for anger and arguments and insults that are synonymous with birdsite, a big thanks to all those that put #showmore #contentwarning filters on their personal #politics opinions/rants. It really helps folk decide if they want to open 'show more' and read it or not. I find it a really helpful and very thoughtful layer of protection given by the 'tooter'.

Kate Stewart@posen had just resolved yesterday that I’ll do the same. Seem to be quite a lot of accounts that are only tooting RTs and it’s beginning to grate a bit. Be here or don’t be here, and if I want to see tweets (I don’t) I’ll go there.

That being said, you aren't wrong. There is too much of it, and I think people would get a better reaction if they rewrote for the different audience.
