The #WiiU still puts a smile on my face.
Sure, it wasn't a success and sure, the #Switch is in all aspects better but the gamepad was great and playing on the couch awesome.
@3DBigBoxGames for me there’s still one core feature the Switch is missing, and that’s Miiverse. Twitter and Facebook aren’t replacements for it. I get it p, the moderation would require a lot of resources considering the install base of the Switch, especially compared to the Wii U. But Miiverse was so much fun. Sharing screenshots, asking questions about a game when you were stuck or discussing games.
@Htbaa I actually never used Miiverse that much as I wasn't a social media user except for G+ but that's a whole other story.
@3DBigBoxGames it was an easy way to share screenshots and I mostly used it for that. It was more of a bulletin board/forum with each game its own category for posts. And the way Miiverse was integrated in some games where posts would show up was neat as well.
There’s an enthousiast project running that aims to restore Miiverse functionality. I think it’s called Pretendo or something?
@3DBigBoxGames it still saddens me that so few games try/tried to use the full potential of this kind of second screen gaming 😔
@polygonien NintendoLand was fantastic in this regard.
@polygonien Uh, and ZombiU did it masterfully!
