Is there such a thing as a background #noise cancelling app for #YouTube vids? (I make them in #iMovie)

It's really difficult trying to make tutorials when you live right next to a bus stop 😩

I downloaded #Krisp but it seems to be just for video conferencing, Teams, etc.
@Claydisarray Have you tried a different microphone? What are you currently using?
@toon I have a Rode which is really great, but it picks up traffic noise easily as I'm on a busy road. I suspect I need to record at night.
@Claydisarray I had a similar problem when I recorded at my front window, the low traffic rumble is really hard to filter out reliably without hurting audio quality too much. I would try a less sensitive (directional) mic, but can't guarantee it'll work. You should probably also move as far away from the street as possible, when recording. I now do all my podcast recording in the bedroom at the back.
@toon yeah, sods law I have an imac so I need to see what I'm narrating in the studio. Will try and figure out a way I can record in the back bedroom 👍
@Claydisarray You can use a portable recorder like the Zoom H1n to record narration while you watch the video on your phone? Audio quality on those is pretty great, I've used it a lot for on-location interviews and such.
@toon Oh, that's interesting. Thanks! 👍
