Cecropia Moth Caterpillar

This is the caterpillar of the largest moth in North America (Hyalophora cecropia). I observed it earlier this summer. It is likely now a pupa overwintering within an inconspicuous brown silken cocoon. This photograph is a focus stack of 11 images. Subject was photographed in-situ.
