@Madame_Regal I have a soft spot for Death in Winter by Michael Jan Friedman. That's the novel I have re-read the most.

@Madame_Regal

Second Self

Once I stated this I could not put it down! It tells Raffi’s story post-Dominion War. By far the best of the Picard novels. You get to know so much more about Raffi and what makes her tick and why. It ties in with the Star Trek Picard show and really made rewatching Picard a fuller, richer experience. If you love Raffi, Seven & Elnor this is a must read. @unamccormack writes Raffi beautifully.

@LittleMissMable @Madame_Regal I finished this one last week and I absolutely loved it!
I'm always ready for more Raffi!

@Madame_Regal

I like Diane Carey's Final Frontier (2013), although beware that continuity has moved beyond where it was in 2013 and some elements no longer fit in.

I also like some of the earliest Trek books.

@Madame_Regal it's hard to pick just one but any of the Q novels by Peter David are pretty solid. I love all of them!
My favorite may still be Metamorphosis though. Not only a Data focused novel but it was the first #StarTrek book I read so I have a soft spot for it
@Madame_Regal Q-in-law, the audio version read by Majel Barrett and John De Lancie. Why? cus it's fun, great to quote, and practically canon.. at least to me.
@Madame_Regal - For me: "Sarek", "Prime Directive" , "I, Q" and "The Captains daughter".
- really complex storylines going deep into the matrix of #StarTrek.
@Madame_Regal It’s very difficult to pick just one but I think Greg Cox’s Khan novels are right at the top, along with just about anything by Peter David that has Q in it.

@Madame_Regal A couple of the best novels I recall are Doctor's Orders (Diane Duane), and Kobayashi Maru (Julia Ecklar).

In the former, McCoy is left in command when Kirk leaves hin the conn as a jape while he goes on an away mission and gets absconded with, and has to Deal With Things including but not limited to figuring out how to get Kirk back and a Klingon incursion into the system.

In the latter, a shuttle ferrying Kirk, Sulu, Scotty, and Chekov is disabled by a gravitic mine and to kill the time before life support runs out and they die or are rescued, share stories about their encounters with the eponymous command exercise and other events at the Academy.
