Went out for dinner last night to a local #Pinoy #gastropub and tried Kansi for the first time.

Omg guys. It was AMAZING.

A beautiful tangy broth traditionally made with beef shank (this one used osso bucco) and young jackfruit, flavoured with lemongrass, ginger, chillies, tomatoes and a tart green fruit called batwan.

I feel like #Pinoy #food often gets a bad rep for being either too sweet or too fatty, but that's because many people don't know about dishes like Kansi,

or like #kinilaw, which is a gorgeous #ceviche-like dish flavoured with coconut milk, calamansi and chillis.

@nihilistnomya this looks absolutely delicious. what's the name of this gastropub?

@nihilistnomya @busycrying I LOVE Chibog! The food is amazing, and I have been trying to recreate the wings recipe at home but it's never as good!
