I'm delighted that so many people - 538 so far - have filled out their info in the #MedMastodon Yellow Pages.

Reminder that this is completely voluntary; you can choose to participate to make it easier for friends/colleagues to find you as we migrate to #MedMastodon.

You can fill out the form here:

And you can see the full results here:

Interesting to see the diverse representation of specialties/areas of practice:

MedMastodon Directory

As people migrate from Twitter to the "Fediverse" many are struggling to find & reconnect with friends & colleagues. By creating a directory we can make this transition easier. Participation is completely voluntary; enter as much or as little information as you like. Feel free to leave your name blank and remain anonymous.

@nick
I missed this earlier. This is exactly what I was hoping to find for med-mastodon, thanks!
Poke @doctorsdilemma and @ZekeMD - Let's TRIPLE the number of #OccMed docs in the #MedMastodon Yellow Pages :)
@nick Finding some awesome new people to follow :) Thank you for organizing this.
@nick done, and increased the vascular surgery representation!
@nick no specific hospital medicine? Just a thought.

@nick

great work you are doing nick
happy to see pathologists who
have been arriving here—and
I think thus far we have all
built a very nice space!

@nick

"Option 45", I choose you!

@nick Hi Nick. All of this is fascinating to watch unfold. We're interested in finding out where others see platforms such as ours fitting into broader #MedMastodon as we were on #MedTwitter for open access #MedEd #CME? We’re open to others ideas and convo, while not deserting our outstanding #TumorBoardTuesday twitter community.
There’s a couple of our partner channels continuing to explore the options.
How can we have mastodon work for this type of regular event? #OncoDon #Gastrodon

@nick @TumorBoardTuesday

Seems like you can do what you’ve been doing and cross post (transiently or indefinitely) which could expand the engagement to include folks who jumped ship altogether to mastodon

@freddyeescorcia @nick I like the positivity & obviously willing to do both! I know you’ve followed #TumorBoardTuesday since the beginning, you’re familiar with the presentation concept. I find “threads” here are a bit harder to follow as if a full convo to be able to go back & read a presentation unfold.
I haven’t turned on mastodon🔁Twitter yet
-Threads
-Polls (I’ve seen they’re similar)
-Engagement analysis (tracking, especially for those who don’t use # )
-Archiving
-#Oncodon = #OncTwitter
@freddyeescorcia @nick Once we sort how this could work, we can use for our partners ( @MondayNightIBD ) amongst other channels starting up #CRCChat #BCSMChat etc.
Can’t wait to teach the rest of the team how to maneuver #MedMastodon 😂 I’ve been calling it an Atari version of Twitter, that’s developing live.
@BonumCE
@nick I think bioethics could also be included.
@nick Thanks for this list. Not many #TB folks there but fingers crossed more make the transition!
@nick I'm just Med adjacent and am here because I support so many nurses and doctors on Medtwitter. Thank you for having the not a medical professional option.
@nick would love to see MEcfs/longcovid, Ehlers-danlos, and complex diseases on there. There's a strong correlation of EDS/POTS/MCAS/MEcfs, which are all extremely underdiagnosed. With so many new longcovid patients it's a big topic, which I hope starts having more experts soon.
@nick thanks for doing this!!
@nick will we have a #pharmacy option eventually in the directory? I’d love to see also an option for HIV care too!
@JayHPharmD did I overlook pharmacy?!? Yikes. Lemme fix that. Sorry
@nick thank you! Gotta make sure pharmacy folks can find each other!
