It's ages since I made a book spine poem. Here's a new one, "Return from the Stars"
Return from the Stars,
A portable cosmos –
Island home buried in
The sky, the island of ghosts,
The uninhabitable Earth,
Kindred love, again,
Touching from a distance
Homesick,
The stars my destination.

I started making these found poems years ago after seeing Nina Katchadourian's. It's a fun way to hang out with a bookshelf. I'd do them more often, but most of my books are stored miles away.
The response to this one has been striking, especially since I've just joined #Mastodaoine. On Twitter I've a bigger audience and got 🦗🦗🦗
