I presented the Plan Integration for Resilience Scorecard™ for Heat results for the City of Tempe, Arizona with @SaraMeerow recently, where we found that heat mitigation policies are targeting the socially vulnerable areas of the city but often not the hottest areas. The full report is online at https://repository.arizona.edu/handle/10150/666700 #urbanplanning #extremeheat #urbanheat #heatresilience #planintegration
We also had workshop participants conduct the PIRS™ for Heat process themselves to find heat mitigation policies in a variety of Tempe plans - and had a great dialogue afterward on improving policy language in future plan updates.
