Belated #introduction post! I'm Jen. I'm a Chinese-American erstwhile MD turned #writer, currently working as the #NarrativeDesigner and #GameWriter for Butterscotch Shenanigans. I also write #sff and do some freelance editing, henching, and process/cultural consulting on the side. I wear a lot of figurative hats while owning zero literal hats. I'm always doing at least one too many things, and those things usually include #ttrpgs #books #VideoGames #GameDev #GameDesign #FiberArts

I can't think of another way to work in additional hashtags (which are important? I guess? I still don't really get this?) so here's just a list of some more...

#neurodivergent #ADHD #AuDHD #BIPOC #diaspora #writing #games

I gave a talk on narrative lenses and the hero's journey at the Game Devs of Color Expo #GDoC this year. Full text of that talk is available here: https://bit.ly/beyond-the-heros-journey

@jcalyst they're useful if you want the post to be discovered by other people (IE people who don't follow you, or are part of your local instance).

I've seen either way on the "put them in or at the end" (both arguments have been made by people who actually use screen readers!), so I'd say "put them into the post" if it works with the prose, or at the end if not.

In the case of intro posts it'll help people to find you when, say, looking at the "writing" tag,

@jcalyst And two more things that are hopefully helpful:

1) Try to WriteHashtagsLikeThis (camel case), since that makes it easier for screen readers to grok

2) there are groups for both writing ( @amwriting ) and fibre arts ( @fiberarts ), if you're interested =)

@melindrea Thank you! I appreciate the tips!
