It's not a rule, but Mastodon in general has etiquette in which using content warnings for sensitive topics is done in spirit of being a good neighbour. I'm sure everyone has already seen the news, and it's a real worry for many people, so adding a content warning can make things easier for people who are already overwhelmed by it. Just something to consider.
@nathan my first Content Warning related a picture with hashtag-guineapig. It appeared to be a picture of a white piggy looking in the camera with a surprised expression. So here the CW stood for "Cuteness Warning".
