Fred PaceFavorite feature of Mastodon is the alt-text for photo captions. I guess this has existed in other social platforms but I’ve never used it. Now I find myself spending more time thinking about my photo caption than I do my post. Love the accessibility and reading the photo captions whenever I come across them in others’ posts. 😎
Oddly, however, while I can add alt-text when submitting a post, the Mastodon iPhone app doesn’t seem to show it anywhere when scrolling. Reading the captions seems to be website feature only…?
