99 dollars to try out beta software and test for apple? Shouldn't apple be paying the testers. All I want is an iPad that isn't iCrap. #apple #fail https://developer.apple.com/support/compare-memberships/ #icrap

@Jem That is what the public betas are for. They’re free. $100 a year to DEVELOP software when all the tools (Xcode) are free is a good value.
@PowerCatDan oh so where do I find the public betas? I am after ios16.2 beta..will search.. thanks, though I didn't realise apple published private and public classified betas
@Jem I’m assuming they’re available in the UK. I didn’t see your instance name until just now. So, assuming that, I’ll paste the URL at the end. I’m a developer so I can’t test it fully from a public beta POV, but I’ve been both a public and dev beta tester. Login with your Apple ID and download a “profile” with the device you ant the beta software on. Once the profile is installed then you can install the beta software. https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/

@PowerCatDan thanks found it
@Jem Oops I just answered before scrolling up to see this.
@PowerCatDan sorry for the trouble. I have installed and got it working. I now have extended monitor support that I can use vscode on. I am connecting over usbc to a raspberry pi running code server. Ipad now a usable dev env. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction 👍
