it's poetic that this sequoia VC who has never experienced the pain of childbirth uses this analogy when talking about the collapse of a company that is also not likely to hurt him personally

@molly0xfff I feel like most of the insanity around VCs is a product of having too low taxes on the super wealthy.

Too much capital sloshing around the system means everyone will try to do silly things to try to get returns. That feeds into things like web3, WeWork, Juicero, etc.

@lofh @molly0xfff But they promised that it would trickle down!
@molly0xfff I rarely find billionaires and the top 0.1% have any real understanding of the world at all. It is spreadsheets of their wealth going up and down.
@molly0xfff Why do all of these lizard people look like variations of the same Bezos-oid skinsuits?
@molly0xfff Does this guy *want* to look like Ryan Reynolds with his mask off in Deadpool?
@molly0xfff One hell of an approach - "those who remember history will hopefully forget all about it in a few months so that they can repeat it"

@molly0xfff lolol rolling my eyes so hard.

Forget?! 3 MONTHS after?! Lucky to be healed by then, my dude. What a damn take. 😆

@molly0xfff Capitalists live their lives as abstractions. Objects and experiences only exist as representations of monetary value, and relationships or human wellbeing has no value at all. The world is a shadow cast by a bank statement. It's bizarre how western society has turned what was nothing but a representation of value into the only valuable goods there is.
