I haven't done a proper #introduction yet! I'm a #data #analyst with a #marketing, #manufacturing & #healthcare background. I use #SAS, #Cognos, #Tableau, and #SQL, mostly (and I know a lot of #Excel jujitsu).

I'm also currently the head of 6 municipalities for the #Dems in PA & I've been spending a lot of time trying to fight #BookBanning locally.

I also write short, creepy #fiction, and until COVID, was an #alto in a local #choral group! Happy to be here as part of the #TwitterMigration !

@CeilCK Hello Cecil.
@dio πŸ‘‹
@CeilCK I am an aspiring data scientist. I currently am just a lowly #softwareengineer , I primarily do backend work with #go and #python with an interest in doing 3d printing and vr work.
@CeilCK Hi Ceil welcome πŸ‘‹ Good intro and nice to meet you
@CeilCK I know you also know #nefandous secrets.
@culturalgutter @CeilCK Oh yeah? I am a six-headed municipality myself.
@lowdudgeon @CeilCK Does this look familiar?
@culturalgutter @CeilCK Not this graphic, no. But everything in it, yes, that’s how I’m livin.’
@lowdudgeon @culturalgutter I am amazing sports-ing right now.
@CeilCK @lowdudgeon Are you still amazing sports-ing? Are there trampolines?
@culturalgutter @lowdudgeon It's more like mediocre sports-ing. Bordering on being entirely motionless.
@CeilCK @lowdudgeon Motionless Sports sound like amazing sports of the future.
@CeilCK @culturalgutter Yeah maybe if all sports were tableaux vivants . . . ehh, I still wouldn’t like it.
@lowdudgeon @CeilCK Your beautiful hat would make a champion of Tableaux Vivants. Tragic that you could not appreciate your own accomplishments.
@culturalgutter @CeilCK Wait, are you imagining tableau vivant ITSELF as a sport? At that I would excel, yes.
@lowdudgeon @CeilCK Yes, it is/will be an Amazing and Motionless Sport of the future.
@CeilCK I don't think I've ever done a proper introduction here. One of these days, I'll get to it...😁
@toxtethogrady How long have you been on Mastodon?
@CeilCK A total of one month. Or just after the elections.
@CeilCK Welcome! Oh, how I miss group singing. I was an alto as well!
@Fragglemuppet I miss it, too! Maybe some day I'll get back to it.

@CeilCK nice to see you using #cognos ... I love it. Did so many hours of reverse engineering on it. Decompiled the java code, proofed errors in the code.

Let me know what you like best about the latest version 11.2.4?

@ralfroeber Honestly, I think I put Cognos in the intro as a habit. Thinking about it now, it's been about two years since I've used it. I started on Cognos back in 1999/2000; it was my first BI tool.

Funny, just the other day I was thinking of this star schema database that a Framework model would've been a perfect solution for, but our company got rid of it last year, sadly. Would love to pick it back up again.

@CeilCK imho you can use the cloud version for free trial.

Let me find out the details and I let you know.

11.2. is blazing fast. Nothing to compare with in the good old reportnet days.
