I'm sharing here my new planetary optical train ! I think I've arrived at something pretty optimal! What do you think about ? (With Barlow VIP Baader) #Astronomy #Jupiter #astrophotography
@jdsoubeyran if you find that your ADC is not powerful enough to correct the dispersion, you may want to add a bit more distance between ADC and camera.
Hi @McIdefix, thx for your message ! The goal here is to obtain the distance recommended by the Baader specifications of 64mm between the sensor and the lens. I have not yet been able to test this optical train because of a defect on my new mount and... the overcast weather of this autumn in France...
@jdsoubeyran
👍🏻 Better follow supplier’s instructions indeed. I do not know the Baader VIP Barlow except for it’s good stuff.
With a Barlow, the distance given is to obtain the Barlow factor e.g. x2 in your case. If you have more distance it will increase the actual multiplication effect, which is not bad with an ADC working better at high f/d.
The best is indeed to test In Real Life.
Same for me on French Riviera, it is either ☁️ or 💨. Neither are good for high resolution images.
