A few nights back I dreamed that #SimEarth received an in-depth review from a popular YouTube channel and was rediscovered by a whole new generation of people.

I loved that game, along with #SimAnt.

I wonder what it'd take to develop my own SimEarth clone? 🤔

SimEarth: Tragedy of the Bird People - An LGR Review

YouTube
@tiden Thanks! I love LGR. Should've known he'd have reviewed it.
@dHeinemann We have a podcast on SimAnt coming up very shortly!
@dosgameclub Awesome, I'll keep an eye out for it. I have so many fond memories. SimAnt sparked a lifelong interest in ants that I still have today.
@dHeinemann I remember playing SimAnt on the SNES when I was a kid. That was actually a fun game.
@dHeinemann I loved Sim Earth on the #snes, but I was absolutely terrible at it, haha.
@Thelunarfox I was terrible at it too. My first copy of #SimEarth was borrowed from a friend. I was a kid and didn't have the instruction manual so I had no idea what I was doing. I've always loved artificial life games though, and had a blast just watching species rise and fall over the planet's lifetime. Fond memories.
@dHeinemann SimAnt was so cool. I'd love to have a modern version of that!
@dHeinemann I think LGR did an in-depth review on both on his YouTube channel a few years ago.
