We had a really interesting conversation with Tom Boothe, director of the film Food Coop. A couple of the things that stood out for me: Erin Dale Mclellan's comments on "somatic democracy"; Tom Boothe's summary of Charles Gide's four stages in the growth of a cooperative movement; and Elizabeth Jesdale's lament that in her food co-op they are still making rich people richer (the capitalist producers of so much of the food sold even in food co-ops).

A Conversation About FOOD COOP | Grassroots Economic Organizing

Excellent moderation by @lauriewayne by the way.
@Matt_Noyes 🙏 I did my best and learned a lot!
@lauriewayne Your best is awesome. What stood out to you?
@Matt_Noyes weirdly, I think a lot of my attention was focused on juggling questions and monitoring, so I almost couldn't really pay too much attention to what most people were saying, but I LOVED at the end when people kind of summed up their take on the movie, the conversation, and the movement. Might have been that, as the last question, I got to relax and listen! 🙂 . Love your overview. The panelists were all so impressive and lovely!
