#Earpers, let’s play a getting to know you game that'll also help people start to figure out how chatting on Mastodon works.

Answer the question, "What is your favorite media right now besides Wynonna Earp?"

Tell everyone reading this a about your favorite stuff. You can just put the title or you can give a description or a gif. Then browse through the replies and interact with other people whose fave stuff you like.

#WynonnaEarp

My favorite media right now is #WarriorNun. I'm so glad I started! I'm not done but I've spoiled myself for some stuff and am so excited to get there. Badass lady warriors have character growth and slowwwwburn queer feelings for one another in a supernatural fighting visual bonanza of a series.

In print media, #TheMurderBotDiaries by Martha Wells is a runaway favorite - I've reread the entire series 3 or 4 times since August. MurderBot just speaks to me, I don't know why but I love it.

@SmugMischief
What can I say? WE spoiled most media for me... I keep looking and can't find that feeling of home anywhere.
I have, however, been enjoying the BBC app and watching some new and some older British TV series... the humor is amazing sometimes... but it's never home... I miss WE.
@wobbleeone which shows? I've seen a large number of British murder mysteries
@SmugMischief
Of course you would ask me...
I heavily rely on the app to remember what show I'm watching and tell me to continue watching... I'll go back and take a look at the titles... I'll make a list...
Where in this country do you reside Smug?
@wobbleeone haha yeah I depends on the app too! I'm in new Orleans, you?
@SmugMischief
I'm in Oregon... I'm a Lesbiumkin. I live in the country, but grew up in Hollywood... totally different life here..
Would love to come to New Orleans, but I'm afraid... maybe too wild for me...

@SmugMischief @wobbleeone

I like Detective Lynley series, Vera, Inspector Lewis, Mrs. Marple and Father Brown to name a few.

@wobbleeone @SRMiracle ooh I have watched the last three but not the first two!
@wobbleeone @SmugMischief @SRMiracle VERA is a must!!! I love her!!! Also Vigil w Suranne Jones.
@SRMiracle @wobbleeone @Jinpa what're they about? Mystery, drama, supernatural?
@SRMiracle @SmugMischief @wobbleeone Vigil is a 6 episode BBC murder mystery, very well done. Surranne Jones stars in it! Vera is in the 10th season I think! Murder mystery, not too dark bit of humor. I would definitely watch Vigil first. Cant wait to hear what you think friend💜

@SmugMischief am also currently into Warrior Nun after initially not getting into it last year. I think the religion overtones put me off to start with. But I'm liking that it's keeping me on my toes. Plus who doesn't like swords.
Am waiting for Arcane's next season.
I'm a historian so give me shows where I can analyse the shit out if it.

But mainly anything where the women are kicking ass and not putting up with male BS is my jam.

@[email protected] loving Lower Decks and Ghosts (both original and Paramount+ versions). Also, really into The Dragon Prince on Netflix. #LowerDecks #GhostsCBS #thedragonprince

@SmugMischief

#InterviewWithTheVampire - really wish there had been more than 7 episodes. I like it better than the movie just because it doesn't have TC in it, but also it has variations from the movie storyline.
I hope that Mayfair Witches is even better.
#YellowStone - Who can't love Beth. She is such a bad bitch. Gives back double what you give her when it comes to trouble and can make your heart break when she's in pain.

@SmugMischief I’m intensely boring. I love watching home improvement & baking shows. I’ve also been watching this wild Japanese show on Netflix called “Old Enough”. Warrior Nun. Just rewatched The IT Crowd. Titans on HBO Max. True crime docs.

I’m all over the place.

@SmugMischief I love video games. I own a PS3 and a PS4. I really want to get a PS5, but they're so expensive. And as my username states, my favorite movie is Paddington 2.
@FanofPaddington what do you play? My favorite games are mass effect and dragon age, but Skyrim and breath of the wild are also favorites.
@SmugMischief My top 3 are Red Dead Redemption 2, Spyro the Dragon, and The Last of Us. All such gems imo. BTW are you a PlayStation or Xbox gamer? I now know you have a Switch since you mention Zelda.
@FanofPaddington Xbox mostly! I want to get a playstation because of all the exclusives I've missed out on, I'm still drooling about horizon zero dawn and I played like an hour of it 6 years ago on a friend's machine.
@SmugMischief Nice! If or when you get a PS4 or PS5, I definitely recommend The Last of Us Parts 1 and 2 as well as God of War.
@FanofPaddington the last of us is too scary for me  😂
@SmugMischief I’m into an assortment of media. Right now I’m enjoying #WarriorNun, and, now that it just started back, #LWordGenQ, and #Manifest.
@DuckyOdd how is the l word? I remember the original being super schlocky
@SmugMischief I actually prefer this one over the original. There’s still a connection to the original, but also more variety.

@SmugMischief Interview With The Vampire and Andor! Both so entertaining and completely different. 🤣❤️

#Andor #InterviewWithTheVampire

@NotWithGnomes I've heard good things about Andor. As someone living in New Orleans, idk if I want to watch interview with a vampire but maybe someday

@SmugMischief I’m not much of show watcher. More of a read.

This is great so far.

@simplexreveries thank you for sharing! What's your comfort read?
@SmugMischief I dont have one right now 🤷‍♀️
@simplexreveries interesting! I reread old faves to comfort myself in hard times, but I guess not everyone does this.

@SmugMischief I have two fantasy series that I read the next one when I have an IBS flair and am stuck in the fetal position for a while. They are what I call ‘brain candy’. Like junk food fiction 😆

What are your comfort reads?

@simplexreveries my comfort reads are The Murderbot Diaries (the whole series), as well as anything by Ilona Andrews or Seanan McGuire. When I was a child it was Redwall and Lord of the rings, and when I was a teenager it was The White Dragon by Anne McCaffrey and the Tortall series by Tamora Pierce.
