So, I've joined the mass migration! Here's a wee #introduction:

I'm a science journalist interested in stories about people & science: how we generate evidence, how we use evidence, how we treat the people involved in the process.

New Scot ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ, but always Saffa ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, with an increasingly weird hybrid accent. Talk to me about bikes, running, music, and dogs.

@cathleenogrady welcome. Iโ€™m fairly new here too. If I may make a suggestion to newcomers: after the prose portion of your introductory toot, and your bio, use hashtags liberally to connect other users who share your interests. For example, #science #sciencejournalism #scicomm #dogs #cycling #music #runner

And hashtag any toot that you want people (especially non-followers) to find.

@cathleenogrady Fancy seeing you here! How have you been? Omg.

@cathleenogrady

Hi Cathleen !

I've been trying to get some traction under an opportunity to bridge the gap between the Physical Sciences

(specifically, Aerodynamics)

& Society

(particularly, those travelling by air...).

Aerodynamics is crying out for an overhaul (its best theories are 'unrealistic' and paradoxical); Aviation needs way better fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

So a new view of the evidence is win/win. It's called The Pneumofoil.

Any interest...?
