Lowther Plantation near Cleator is a large area of woodland that has a great mix of forest road and woodland paths.

Although planted for forestry there is a decent mix of trees and plenty of wandering paths among the trees themselves.

The ability to amble among the trees makes this a favourite place of ours for a walk, and it is very popular with dog walkers and cyclists.
